No, you don’t need to be at present when your fuel arrives, but please make sure that you give us any special delivery instructions – such as the location of your tank and any security measures - when you place your order.

You will be asked for a delivery window when you order. In most areas, we offer delivery within 2, 5 or 10 working days, as well as an emergency delivery option.

Standard oil delivery tanker hoses are approximately 45 metres (150 feet), allowing us to quickly and efficiently deliver fuel to those tanks that are situated away from the roadside.

The Oil Depot uses a network of trusted delivery partners; to work with us, distributors must be members of the UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA), and share our values of fair pricing and excellent customer service.

We can deliver fuel to all of mainland England, Scotland and Wales.

Delivery charges aren’t calculated separately – the price you’re quoted includes delivery, and you’ll never pay a penny more than that. To keep your costs as low as possible, select the longest delivery window you can – the longer the delivery window, the less you’ll pay (i.e. delivery within 10 working days will be cheaper than delivery within 2 working days).

Mistakes happen! If you run out of fuel, please contact us on 0808 164 3801 and we will do our best to arrange an emergency delivery for you. Please be aware that this may incur a call-out charge.

Take care to order only the amount of heating oil that you can store – if you do not take delivery of the full amount of fuel ordered, you may have to pay a surcharge. Please note that a heating oil tank should only be filled up to around 80-90% of capacity to avoid spillage.

Yes, each order must be for at least 500 litres of fuel, however, we can offer barrels from 200 litres. Does the amount I order affect the fuel price per litre? Yes. In general, the more fuel you order, the cheaper the price per litre is.

Payment for fuel must be by credit or debit card at the time of placing your order. We accept payment by MasterCard, Visa or Maestro. We reserve the right to charge a surcharge on orders paid using a credit card. Surcharge rates will be shown to you before you enter any card details. Payment must be made prior to delivery. There are no card processing charges in respect of payments made via debit cards
